A Little About Me

I am a client-centered therapist who provides counselling and psychotherapy services in Toronto, and remotely. I believe that in a nurturing and safe environment, we all have the capacity for healing, growth, and finding our own answers. My job is to facilitate the conditions that will allow you to challenge your fears, discover your strengths, generate your own insights, and reach your goals. I customize and structure my approach  based on your individual issues, personality, goals, and objectives.

With over 15 years of experience in the mental health and counselling field, I have worked with children, adolescent, adult, and senior clients with a wide range of presenting issues. In my career, I have provided counselling and therapy in a variety of settings and platforms including: web-based (by video or instant message), telephone (including crisis lines), as well as in-person in group homes for youth, university counselling department, walk-in clinic, community agencies,  and the hospital.

I hold a Master's degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto (OISE) and Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Carleton University. I have earned diplomas in Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo and Human Resource Management from Sheridan College. I have also earned certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Windsor. I have specific training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Counselling and Psychotherapy are dynamic fields that requires me to stay current, educated, and informed on evidenced-based therapies and practices that may benefit my clients. Therefore, I am committed to lifelong learning and growth.

I belong to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and hold the Registered Psychotherapist (RP) designation.  I am also a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
